What an MMP Integration Is
An MMP integration is the work of connecting your app, your marketing channels and your data tools to a mobile measurement partner. The MMP sits in the middle: it receives installs and events from your app, matches them to ad clicks and impressions, sends results back to ad networks, and passes attributed data on to your analytics stack.
None of that works until each connection is in place. A good integration is invisible afterwards: installs show the right source, networks receive the events they optimize on, and analytics tools see the same users the MMP sees.
The Four Parts
1. The SDK. The SDK goes into every app build: iOS, Android and any cross-platform framework. It initializes on app open, reports the install with the signals needed for attribution, sets a customer user ID after login, and sends in-app events and revenue. On iOS it also handles ATT status and writes SKAN and AdAttributionKit conversion values.
2. Deep links. Universal links on iOS and app links on Android, with the association files hosted on your link domain, so links open the app instead of the browser. The app passes incoming links to the SDK, which resolves deep links and deferred deep links and reports re-engagements.
3. Ad networks. Self-attributing networks such as Google, Meta and Apple Ads connect through account linking and their own APIs. Other networks and affiliates use attribution links and receive postbacks for installs and mapped events. Spend sync brings cost data in so ROAS can be calculated.
4. Data out. Attributed installs and events flow to analytics, engagement and subscription tools, and to your own systems through webhooks, exports and APIs.
A Typical Rollout
- Create the project and add the SDK to a test build.
- Map events: decide the event names, revenue fields and which events go to which networks.
- Set up deep links and test them on real devices, installed and not installed.
- Connect ad networks and confirm test installs and events arrive on both sides.
- Set up SKAN or AdAttributionKit conversion value mapping for iOS campaigns.
- Connect analytics and engagement tools.
- Release, then compare installs and events against your previous source for a few weeks.
Switching from Another MMP
Most teams integrating a new MMP are replacing one. Running both SDKs side by side for a short period lets you compare installs by campaign before cutover. Move tracking links and deep links, reconnect ad networks, and export historical data from the old platform. Plan the switch so no live campaign changes source mid-flight.
MMP Integration with Linkrunner
Linkrunner SDKs cover iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, Expo, Capacitor, Cordova and Unity, plus a Web SDK in beta, a Shopify app and Appbrew. SDK-less REST guides are available for Android and iOS, along with server APIs for event capture and revenue. Agent Skills (npx @linkrunner/skills) help AI coding tools integrate the SDK, and the MCP server lets you sign up and create a project from Claude.
Ad network connections include Google Ads, Meta and Apple Ads with spend sync, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, LinkedIn, ChatGPT Ads and affiliate partners through S2S clicks and postback templates. Analytics and engagement integrations cover Amplitude, Braze, CleverTap, Google Analytics 4, Mixpanel, MoEngage, Netcore, PostHog, RevenueCat and WebEngage. Data leaves through webhooks, CSV exports, the Reporting API and Data APIs. See integrations and the docs.
Integration Checklist
- SDK initialized on every app open, on every platform.
- Customer user ID set after login.
- Events and revenue, with currency, firing on real devices.
- Deep links tested installed and not installed, in and out of in-app browsers.
- Every active ad network connected and receiving test postbacks.
- iOS conversion value mapping configured before iOS campaigns scale.
