Who this is for

## Ad network or affiliate?

The setup is a little different depending on whether you run the network or send the traffic.

### Ad networks

Give advertisers independent numbers for the installs and events driven by your campaigns.

- Measure installs and the post-install events they choose
- Send conversion signals back without changing the source data

### Affiliates and publishers

Keep using the click ID your reporting already knows. Linkrunner returns it with every approved result.

- Use Linkrunner links wherever you run traffic
- Get approved installs, signups, and revenue by postback

Why networks use Linkrunner

## Keep your click ID. Get the result back.

Your click ID goes in with the visit and comes back on the postback. Before that happens, Linkrunner filters bad traffic and the advertiser approves what is shared.

### Deterministic matching

Send a click ID with the visit. Linkrunner returns the same value after the advertiser approves the conversion, so your reports line up.
The tid value stays unchanged

Your report can match it directly

### Clean credit

Linkrunner checks the click before attributing it. Click spam and device-farm traffic do not make it into the result you receive.
Linkrunner checks bad traffic first

Linkrunner credits only validated conversions

### Deferred deep linking

A user can install the app and still land on the screen you meant to send them to.
Campaign context survives the app store

The app opens to the intended screen

### Post-install events

The advertiser chooses which post-install events to share. Linkrunner sends the approved events to your endpoint.

Revenue and currency when approved

How it works

## What happens after someone clicks

### Someone taps your link

Use a Linkrunner link in the campaign. It carries your click ID with the visit.

- Works on your site, in email, or in an ad
- Use the campaign labels you already have

### Linkrunner matches the install

When the app opens, Linkrunner checks the visit and connects the install to your link.

- Linkrunner filters bad traffic first
- Your click ID stays attached

### You get the result

After the advertiser approves it, Linkrunner posts the install or event to your endpoint.

- Receive installs and approved events
- Linkrunner includes revenue when the advertiser shares it

## FAQ answers

### Is this for ad networks or affiliates?

Both. Ad networks can let advertisers measure campaign results. Affiliates and publishers can send traffic with their own click IDs and get approved conversions back by postback.

### Does the advertiser need to set anything up?

They choose which events to share. You add your click ID to a Linkrunner tracking link, and we post back when Linkrunner attributes an install or approved event.

### What do I need to apply?

Send us a work email, your network name and logo, a short note about your traffic, and a valid HTTPS endpoint. We review the account and email you when it is ready for postbacks.

### What can be sent in a postback?

Installs are standard. The advertiser can also share signups and in-app events, including revenue and currency when those fields are available.

### Do you change my click ID?

No. Send it as tid and Linkrunner returns the same value on the attributed conversion postback.
